NATION BEFORE SELF

Ro-Hit Sharma, the hitman and the skipper of the Indian cricket Team sets a prime example of what leading from the front means and how each player puts Nation before self when the time actually arrives .This dates back to 7th December '2022' when India faced neighbour Bangladesh in the 2nd ODI in a series deciding header, It was in the 1.4th over of the Bangladeshi Innings when Anamul Haque Nicked a thick outside edge of a Mohammad Siraj delivery while playing a handsome cover drive which flew quick to Ro-Hit Sharma standing in the 1st slip, the ball therefore struck the skippers hand dislocating his Right Thumb.

The Indian Cricket Team Chasing 272 lost quick 4 wickets with just 65 runs in the board after which Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel controlled the innings with both scoring 82 and 56 runs respectively. After the return of the duo in the pavillion the 1.2 billion shattered Indian fans lost all hopes of winning the match and levelling the series but to everyone's surprise In comes our skipper Ro-HitmanSsharma irrespestive of his dislocated thumb with all positive intent, keeping aside all his pain he batted the way our HIT-MAN always does . The Indian cricket Team never looked out of the game even till the last ball was bowled, he smashed all

the Bangladeshi bowlers all around the park even with such gruesome pain, he continued batting until the last ball with just the tail enders where he almost took team India across the line, with 20 runs required in the last over of the Musta-Fizz over, the Indian skipper struck back to back boundaries in the second and the third ball, with the fourth ball being dot. Now 12 runs were required in the last two balls but with Hit-Man in the strike Team India was never out of the game, The fizz bowls a short pitch outside off stump ball which Rohit hammers over the long off boundary for a six, fizz returns with his last ball of the over with 6 needed for India to win, He calmly controls his nerves and bowls a perfect middle stump yorker resulting in just a single in the last ball and Bangladesh winning the game by 5 runs .

Although Team India ended on the losing side and despite all odds the character shown in display by the Indian skipper was more than worth winning the series itself. The 51* scored by Rohit Sharma was all class apart and was praised by all the cricketing community and cricket lovers, Rohit Sharma on the 2nd ODI hence proved that cricket is just beyond sport when you are out there wearing the blue's for your Nation .
