After a disappointing 2-1 ODI series loss for team India against Bangladesh, the men in blue now look forward to the longest format of the game where we hope for a white wash against the host nation in the 2 match test series .
The first test is set to be played at Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium[Chittagong] dated 14th-18th December 2022.
With Skipper Rohit Sharma's finger injury sustained in the second ODI, Mohammad Shami's shoulder injury and Ravindra Jadeja's knee injury, team India had to force some changes in the Test sqaud .KL Rahul was named the Captain for the 1st Test with cheteshwar Pujara as his deputy .

Navdeep Saini and Saurabh Kumar were named as replacements for Shami and Jaddu whereas Jaydev Unadkad received an India call after 12 long years .

Team India has had a smooth running in the longer formats against the host Bangladesh as out of total 11 matches played till date between the two neighbours India has won 9 matches where as Bangladesh has managed to drawn 2 matches out of those. India would like to increase the tally to 11 wins by securing a white wash against the underdog Bangladesh in their own backyards where as Bangladesh would be hoping for the same aswell.

As always seen in the Indian subcontinent the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium[Chittagong] has also always been spin friendly with ample support for the spinners as the play commences day by day. The spinners are set to get more purchase from day 3 onwards with more rough patches and cracks developing as the pitch will begin to hold up a tad more. The batters will also enjoy their time in the middle throughout the match duration with the fresh pitch offering plenty of runs in the initial days of the match.
The new ball bowlers might also ask some wicket shattering questions in the morning spell with the hard new SG leather swinging both ways also making the slips come into play but non the less the spinners might well decide the outcome of the match at last.
